Lg Voyager Driver For Mac
So I'm back from vacation where I tested the Voyager for twelve days. You know I love to take phones into the wild and really live with them. It was very revealing in this case. The Voyager is the closest thing yet to an iPhone from the outside. LG Being on vacation I used the camera a lot. The pictures were acceptable, not great.
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting my LG Voyager (model: VX10000S) to sync with my Mac? I tried the Bitpim program through bluetooth (doesnt work through usb cable since drivers are needed and they only come in windows) but no luck. Jan 27, 2006 on a Mac, not a PC. Thanks in adavanced. I expected better phone quality. Isn't that quaint? But it's very important to me and the Voyager didn't have the greatest. Along those lines, I found you can't use the speakerphone unless the Voyager is in its rather ungainly open clamshell mode. Overall the Voyager is a hefty handful. And I really hated not being able to sync to my Mac; for me, that's a deal breaker.
(See on Mac user passion!) Now the good: I'm not a huge touch-screen fan, but this one works really well. I may be in the minority, but I like the haptic feedback feature that makes screen buttons feel a little bit like real ones. Cool and helpful.
Now THAT's a keyboard. You always have the option of opening the Voyager and essentially having a mini-desktop. Its physical keyboard is far better than the iPhone's touch version, reason enough to choose this cell if you plan on doing a lot of input. The GPS technology is fast and reliable. Music sounds great. And if you find the well-hidden antenna, it's a very usable TV under Verizon's VCast service. Bottom line: Do I like it?

Would I buy it? No, not even under the current promotional price that brings it in $100 less than an iPhone. Outstanding voice quality matters to me, and if you cross my Mac we're off to a bad start, regardless!

It sends out vCards which get imported by the phone. Can't recall the name of it but check google. Hey I am a mac guy and bought the voyager the very first day it came out. As of yet there is no way to sync your calander with it. Bluetooth is enable so you can transfer songs, photos, movies to it, however no syncing.
Bitpim only works with its own calander, not ical. Having said all of that I absoulutly love my phone. I would never go back to att, even for the iphone which is hard for me!!!!!
The phone works wonderfully especially with the new firmware. You just have to accept that it is NOT an iphone and all will be fine!! I unfortunatly do not sync my address book. With the keyboard putting in addresses is not very painful. Also with the program on get it now- backup assistant, I can put in addresses. This program made it very easy to go from my e815 phone to the voyager.
I keep on the look out for a syncing solution ( hopefully one will come from the guys who did the missing sync, however if none appears I am fine with what I have) ATT is just to horrible from my perspective to go back to, even if it means giving up the iphone for now. I have both the voyager and iPhone and there is no comparison.

The voyager was designed by a neanderthal and is a pathetic substitute for the iPhone. Not even close. The email app is a joke on the voyager compared to a relatively weak email app on the iPhone.
It's bulkier, has less intuitive menus and documentation written by an illiterate foreigner. The slide function, which is so amazing on the iPhone, is sticky and inconsistent on the voyager. To get your email you have to go several layers deep in the menus so it's no blackberry either. It looks to me like it was rushed to market to compete with a so-called touch screen but can't. I accept that ATT isn't for everyone but this is no iPhone.
Im pretty sure that OBEX is allowed, I have a Voyager and I just transfered files back and forth from my Voyager to my MacBook. You just pair the device with ur computer and it shows your voyager and it has 3 folders: MyPictures, MySounds, and My Videos, and you can just drag the files from your phone to your computer via bluetooth.
Also, is it possible at all to sync Address Book and iCal to your Voyager?? The iPhone is OBVIOUSLY better, but thats not what were fucking talking about here. So, really, someone please figure out how to sync the Voyager to a mac. Thats easy, use the bluetooth program with mac os x, pair your phone with the computer by following the prompts. You can then scan your phones folders and add mp3, videos on to the phone. If you want to add ringtones, there are several ways of doing this.
